My sweet Camden Chase,

When I think of what makes me happiest in life, my immediate thought is you. Your happy spirit can brighten a room. Your laugh is contagious. You are a ball of endless energy. You are my whole wide world.

Today is your birthday, which is one of my favorite days there is. I love thinking back to myself two years ago, when the doctors told me that in just a few short hours I would be bringing you into the world. Oh the joy and fear I felt. It's such an adventure, being a mom, one that I wouldn't change for the world. I didn't know that it was possible to love this intensely. Holding you on my chest for the first time, I knew that I could never be happier. 

Time has truly flown by, and you have grown so much. It hurts my heart to think that my baby is gone, but I have loved experiencing each new day and milestone with you. You have learned how to count to 12 all by yourself. Your favorite color is green (or so I assume as everything in your world is apparently the color green). You love to ride your bike, you are so coordinated it blows my mind. You are talking in sentences. You have become my little parrot, you can repeat just about any phrase you hear (yes, this has gotten us in trouble a time or two). You know that your full name is Camden Chase Hope. You love to say prayers and you say them so well (everyone around better fold your arms or else Camden will call you out on it mid prayer). Your example of your love for life and everything in this world is exactly what I need. You have given me a far deeper appreciation for what I have and for what makes me happy. 

Oh Camden, to know you is to love you. How blessed I am to be your mom. I can't imagine a life without you. I love you more than you could ever imagine. Happiest of birthdays, my sweet boy.
