My Favorite Anniversary

1. We got to hear Bliss' heartbeat.
2. New family pictures!
3. My mother in law and I got pedicures.

One of my favorite hobbies is photography. I love capturing photographs of my ever growing son. Bonus, he doesn't mind having a camera constantly in his face. I told Chase that we needed to take some new family pictures in the mountains. I have loved living just a short drive away from the beautiful Wasatch Front. We ventured up the canyon, and enjoyed the beautiful views nature has to offer. The leaves have all transformed from a vibrant green to warm fall colors of red and yellow. The change in color is one of my favorite parts of this time of year. It didn't take long for us to find the perfect spot to snap some pictures.

Camden is so full of life and energy. My favorite thing about being a mom is experiencing life through his eyes. We get excited when we see a tractor, jumping off a sidewalk curve is a momentary thrill, and every day is a new adventure. It hurts my heart that he's not my baby anymore, but I love how much he learns and grows every day. I am blessed to be a mother to such a sweet, handsome, fun little boy!

And lets talk about that handsome husband of mine. I don't know how I got so lucky, but I did! Chase is so sweet and thoughtful. He would honestly do anything for anyone. He loves to serve those around him. He's the kind of guy who would drop everything to help a friend in need. He has the goofiest personality, and he always puts a smile on my face. His relationship with Camden is everything I could have hoped it would be. Chase is an incredible dad. He loves teaching Camden new things. Those boys are two peas in a pod! I'm blessed to have such a wonderful spouse to grow old with.

This week is a special one. It marks the anniversary of the day we were sealed together as a family. October 8th will always be my favorite day, and my favorite anniversary to celebrate. I didn't think it was possible to love my family more until they became mine for all eternity. Kneeling across the altar opposite from my sweet husband, we made sacred promises to each other. Afterwards, Camden joined us at the altar. He was in awe of all the beauty the inside of the temple has to offer; the incredible chandelier, the bright white walls and furniture, and the shiny gold accents throughout the room. With the help of my mom, Camden placed his little hand on top of ours, and the three of us were sealed together as an eternal family.

For the past year, knowing that my family is forever has brought me so much comfort. The plan of salvation truly is the greatest gift of this perfect gospel. I love knowing that we will all be united together in heaven someday. I love knowing that Bliss is a part of our eternal family, and although she won't be able to be a physical part of our family in this life, she will be in the next.
